RUGBY 15: FIRST IMAGE, ENGLISH CLUBS CONFIRMED



"After long-anticipation, HB Studios and Big Ben Interactive have confirmed that the upcoming Rugby 15 will feature the Aviva Premiership & RaboDirect Pro12 licenses.

This means that the English clubs will be available for selection, alongside the French Top 14 and French D2 teams and leagues. The official blurb from the press release is below:

“England, the birthplace of rugby, is home to some of the best clubs in Europe, such as Leicester Tigers, London Wasps, Saracens and Harlequins. The Aviva Premiership Rugby seasongathers the top twelve English clubs to play 22 rounds of matches, with each club playing each of its rivals home and away. The top 4 teams at the end of the season enter the play-offs, held throughout May. RUGBY 15 will include the official teams, players, kits, specific rules and scoring system of the Aviva Premiership.”

The game is also being showcased at E3 Expo in Los Angeles for the first time, and the first image (below) of the logo, artwork and licenses was revealed.

Rugby 15 is in development for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and PC, with a “Fall 2014″ release date, so expect it to drop within the months of October, November or December."

RUGBY 15 LEAKED GAMEPLAY, LICENSING DETAILS

"Following the announcement that Rugby 15 was in development for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and PC, rumours have emerged regarding when we will see some footage from the highly-anticipated HB Studios title.

A source who spoke to a PR person from Big Ben Studios (the publisher of the game) suggests that developer HB Studios will showcase the game at the E3 video game expo taking place 10-12 June, and an official trailer to be released showing the game in action.

In a second piece of juicy news, it’s said that the license deal for the Aviva Premiership will potentially be acquired for the game. This is still rumour, but if true, the game will then feature all licences for the French Top 14, French Pro D2 league and the English clubs.

The game will be the first next generation Rugby title from the Canadian-based studio, which previously created Rugby World Cup 2011 and Rugby 08.

"Rugby 15 will be released for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and Windows PC this autumn, Bigben Interactive has announced.

The first next generation Rugby title is in development at Canadian-based HB Studios, which previously created Rugby World Cup 2011.

Rugby 15 will exclusively feature the official licences for the TOP 14 and PRO D2 professional rugby leagues.
